Interclub Leagues

Interclub tennis offers a fantastic opportunity to engage in fun and competitive league play throughout the Sacramento Region. Two organizations provide daytime, weeknight, and weekend league play at all skill levels.  Below you’ll find helpful links to join the organization and teams.

SATA – Sacramento Area Tennis Association

USTA NorCal – United States Tennis Association Northern California

Davis Tennis Club Membership Requirements
A DTC membership is required to play on any Davis interclub team and covers the calendar year and is not prorated. In addition, there may be specific membership requirements (e.g., USTA) and fees associated with joining individual teams.

While the DTC does not directly coordinate SATA or USTA teams, we serve as the “club” under which teams play. The DTC provides necessary insurance and the ability to reserve courts for league matches. Our volunteer board is available to assist team captains with court reservations, scheduling, and offering guidance to new captains.

Court Reservations for SATA/USTA League Play and DTC Special Events

Thanks to our unique agreement with the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD), DTC is able to reserve courts at local complexes for SATA/USTA league play and special DTC events.

Reminders for Court Courtesy

Public courts in Davis are frequently used by recreational players. As a courtesy, please follow these guidelines to ensure smooth and respectful use of the courts:

  • Enter the DSHS courts from the east (pool side) during school hours. You can share this map with your opponents: Map of DSHS courts
  • Enter the courts through the side entrances when possible, or wait until a changeover to avoid interrupting ongoing matches.
  • Be polite when asking the public to use side entrances rather than walking directly onto the courts during a game.
  • Do not reserve courts simply because you prefer not to have others play next to you. Any empty court is available to the public unless it is reserved for a scheduled interclub match.
  • If a court opens up next to you and you would prefer not to have the public playing next to you, please move your game to the available court.
  • To avoid interruptions during interclub matches, some captains have found it helpful to post temporary “Do Not Enter – Match in Progress” signs on the affected court gates. The DTC has signs for captains to use in the Clubhouse.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all tennis players.
