Reminders for Court Courtesy
Public courts in Davis are frequently used by recreational players. As a courtesy, please follow these guidelines to ensure smooth and respectful use of the courts:
- Enter the courts through the side entrances when possible, or wait until a changeover to avoid interrupting ongoing matches.
- Be polite when asking the public to use side entrances rather than walking directly onto the courts during a game.
- Do not reserve courts simply because you prefer not to have others play next to you. Any empty court is available to the public unless it is reserved for a scheduled interclub match.
- If a court opens up next to you and you would prefer not to have the public playing next to you, please move your game to the available court.
- To avoid interruptions during interclub matches, some captains have found it helpful to post temporary “Do Not Enter – Match in Progress” signs on the affected court gates. The DTC can provide these signs to captains upon request.
We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all tennis players.
